Time for a data audit?
Every year, you bring your car in for its annual inspection. Why not add this to your to-do list for your database? Data that was important years ago may not be relevant anymore. If you are not using the data, it’s time to do some archiving.
We’ve added a new feature that allows you to archive lists that you are no longer using. Once you have indicated that a list be archived it will no longer be included in the counts you see on your Home screen.
Regular reviews provide you with several important benefits:
- Improved performance - client lookups and counts for segments return results more quickly
- Better awareness of the data that is available, perhaps sparking an idea about how you can leverage existing data you are not currently using
- Prompts you to identify data you should be collecting
- Saves you money!
Each time you login to MediaView, the Home screen provides you with overall counts of contacts and emails in your database. Keeping an eye on this on a regular basis may prompt you to perform this very important review of your data.
